Australian Tasmanian Devil metal print by Simon Read. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Symbolic of Australia is its unique eco-system and wildlife. This is the Australian Tasmanian Devil from the original water-colour design by Simon Read. In recent years the wild population in Tasmania has suffered from a facial tumour, which spread like wildfire, due to their common biting behaviour, even infecting the captive populations across Australia. Thankfully an inoculation was eventually developed from a very few individuals who demonstrated an immunity to the tumour. The Tasmanian Devil population is expected to recover.
